Gods Speed Marine. You were a bright light and I enjoyed knowing you. The world will miss you, but the angles rejoice that you have joined them.

1989 Panama combat veteran here. My heart goes out to my very young brother and all who love him and whom he loves. Such lights will never go out if the Spirit of God lives within. Gunnery Sgt Aaron Michael Kenefick,
You were my child, my first born....I know the lord had to call you home that fateful day, it's just that I did not have fair notice.... .I do not know how to do this living without you in my life...We all miss you so very very much, the grief that resides in our heart, mind, and soul is over welming because the hurt is so fresh, and yet we know that you are cradled in Gods arms and this thought alone is the glue that holds us together....
I remember the day I gave birth to you, you were always so loved and wanted, and yet I know in my heart of hearts that you not only belonged to your family, yet the world, for the light that shined within you was a beacon to the universe through all of your Humanitarian efforts.....
A warrior so strong yet gentle was your way as you were also the peacekeeper, the bridge builder....to us your family, you were our world....though you are gone to another place in time, apart of myself is having to transform, how do I do this without you....I love you my Son, you will always be my baby boy....my hero, my legacy..... My condolences to the Kenefick family. I knew Aaron only through email and phone calls when he was stationed in Tampa. I was his education counselor while he was there. We became friends over time and he was a wonderful person and an amazing Marine. He shared pictures with me from his times in Iraq and always looked out for me.
I am so sorry for your loss and your family will remain in my prayers. Aaron - I know you are in a better place now and I can feel safe knowing that you are in heaven guarding the gates as only a great Marine would. Rest in Peace my friend!
