To my hero brother, you'll always live in my memory. I wish you could meet my daughter, your neice, but I know you are looking down on her. I dedicated my mission in Iraq to you by working to save and improve the lives of the Iraqis rather than seek revenge through blood. I made it home because you always looked over me while there and now I have a family because of that. I will always remember the moments we shared as brothers. Love your brother, Chad Martin Pillai.

I love you guys. I hope my life does yours the honor that you deserve. I don't know why any of us lived when you didn't. I wish I could have known you and Rios better. I will never forget that night in Baghdad.

I will miss his easy smile and big bear hugs, his quick salsa step and huge appetite. I love him, I still don't quite believe I won't see him again.
