December is fast approaching. Soon it will be a year that you had to leave. I miss our talks and the silly game we played online. I miss talking to you on the phone. I read the letters that you sent that cheered me on when I wanted to give up. I miss the visit that we never had. I think of you often. I wished that you didnt have to go but God wanted you more. I love you much.

There is not a second of the day that you are not on my mind. I remeber you once said that if you were ever to go, you would want Aaron to think of you as a hero..... He thinks of you as that and so much more. He always says, "My daddy shot the bad guys. he fought for us because he loves us. he is an angel now and is always here. he's my Rescue Hero." Our baby thinks the world of you. You are truly our hero, Isaac. I miss you so much but even more than that.. I am proud to have ever been lucky enough to be your wife and to have a beautiful baby boy with you. he looks more and more like you every day. I love you so much baby and that love will never end. I look forward to the day we can be together again. Thank you for being you. You toched many hearts during your life.
Your loving wife and son

Dear Isaac and family,
I am so sorry for the unneccesary and accidental loss of your life in Afghanistan. It could have happened anywhere...it happened there. Thank you for your brave service to our country and the world...I am grateful you did not have to suffer capture or worse. May you rest in peace and my your family be comforted by the fact that you were serving for a mission bigger than most of us will ever imagine.
God bless you,
Mary
