"Skipper," it was fall of 1996 and my Freshman year at Pace and I didn't have a single friend. But you were one of the first to talk to me and make me feel happy to be in a new place. We waited for each other after class to eat or chill and had countless conversations on life and bogus crap around us. Thank you, Bella, for your honest, no fear, don't-give-up attitude. Bella, how did put so much red pepper on your pizza? Love, Gilligan.

God bless your soul, beautiful child. He who has comforted you, clothed you, and loves you everlasting, has called you home. You will never be forgotten! We all love you even those who have never known you.

So young and so beautiful. Looking at this memorial and seeing someone my age brings this even closer. My prayers go out to my generation. May we value life and hold the dream before we shift off this mortal coil.
