Army Sgt. Benjamin J. Laymon died June 24 from injuries sustained when his unit encountered enemy forces small-arms fire and an improvised explosive device which detonated during a dismounted patrol in the vicinity of Baghdad. Also killed was Sgt. Justin D. Norton .
