A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Staff Sgt. Casey D. Combs died April 12 in Miri, Afghanistan, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device during combat operations. Also killed was Sgt. David A. Stephens.

I conducted some training with you, and performed the post-blast investigation on the night you died. I barely knew you, but I'll never forget you. RIP Casey.

You served with my son at Miri, 4 Corners and Ghazni, he is still there and in a way so are you, taking point with angels and watching over your brothers in arms. I saw you in a photo from your time at West point with a smile full of life, hopes and dreams. I never met you but will remeber and honor you every memorial day. Rest peacefully Airborne. you served well.
