Army Spc. Charles E. Leonard Jr. died Aug. 5 in Baghdad of wounds sustained when the vehicle he was in was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade.

I am thankful for all of the men and women that sacrificied their lives, including Charles Leonard Jr. We prayed for you and your family at Corpus Christi church today in Aliso Viejo, CA to remember you this memorial day weekend. I am blessed to have a husband and big brother that served our country, and still protect us when they go to work as police officers each day. America the beautiful! Julie Johnson
