Marine Lance Cpl. Christopher P. Lyons was killed July 28 when his unit came under attack by enemy small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades while conducting combat operations in Cykla, Iraq.

Friday marked your 28th birthday, I so wish that you could have been here to celebrate, hold your beautiful wife and daughter and share our love for you all.
You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday Chris, so many times I speak to you as if your in the same room with me. I look forqard to the day when we all will be re-united again in the Kingdom of the Lord. Until then Chris, pkease know that your family loves so much.
