Army Spc. Daniel A. Leckel died July 25 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from enemy small-arms fire.

I received Daniels tags this year at the freedom ride . I realized that our country has lost him as a son also. My deepest sympathys and gratitude.

I have no cares, no troubled thoughts, for now I am asleep.--The living breathing me that was, is now forever still, and time goes on without me as time forever will.--Those of you who liked me, I sincerely thank you all, aand those of you that loved me, I thank you most of all.--It matters not if time begun or if time will ever cease. I was here, I used it all, and now I am at peace.
