Army Spc. Daniel L. Cox died Sept. 12 in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised-explosive device and small arms fire. Also killed was Staff Sgt. Nekl B. Allen.

We are so sorry for the loss of this young man. No parents should ever have to lay to rest their child. My god be with this family during this time of need. We are greatful for Daniel giving his life for our freedom. He will be greatly missed! God bless all of our men!
