Dave was a good friend to a lot of us...before he went SF. He was an easy to talk to awesome buddy that loved a good time. So many of my fellow Soldiers have fallen....when will it be enough??!!

I would like to express my condolences to the Metzger family. They were my neighbors for three years , and our sons played together often. This war has claimed the life of not only a soldier, but a father as well. I only hope his memory stays alive so his boys will always remember him. Rest in peace. May God be with the family, and bring them comfort and peace. The Saffore family

I want to express my condolences to David and his family. Also to Delores, Sandy and Dylan. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. David was my 2nd cousin. I am deeply sad by the news of his passing. I would also like to say thanks for the many sacrafices that these brave men and women go through everyday for each and everyone of us for our country. God and Jesus Christ is taking good care of him. I believe that we will see our loved ones again someday. My uncle Buddy is with David now. Buddy is David's grandson. Please God watch over them and give them peace and comfort in this difficult time. David your family loves you! You truly are a hero. RIP David God Bless You.

To David's family & friends~ My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. I got the chance to meet David this year right before he deployed when he made a trip to Camp Lejeune NC to see some Marines whom worked with him on his last deployment. I know that from the Marines side he will be missed greatly and that these boys lost an amazing friend & brother. R.I.P Dave, I'm honored to say that I had the chance to meet such an amazing man!
