Army Sgt. David K. Cooper died Aug. 27 in Baghdad of wounds sustained in Qadasiyah, Iraq, when his dismounted patrol came under small arms fire.

I live in Williamsburg, but I'm not from here, so I didn't know Sgt. Cooper..but my condolences go out to his family..and I thank him for his service to his country. May he rest in peace..God bless.

my heart goes out to the family, my son Sgt. Cody Ortenzo is one of David's best friends and comrade's in the 4-42. He called me from Iraq today and told me that he just came from the memorial for his buddy and that god would be him. God bless David and his comrades that are still there.
