A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Pfc. David N. Simmons died April 8 in Baghdad when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small-arms fire. Also killed was Staff Sgt. Harrison Brown.

Dear Neil, Thank You for all the good times we had. Uncle Jim loves you and will always be so proud. I miss you so very much. Your Dad, and Uncles will always carry you in our hearts. I am glad you are not a witness to the unjustness we are going threw.

Dear family of Neil Simmons,
I knew Neil when he attended Eastern High School. I was an assistant in his English class. He had an awesome personality and a contagious smile. He also attended OakBrook Church where I attend and the last time he was home, I shook his hand during the service. Thanks, Neil for giving your life for others and your country.

I met PFC simmons back at annual training in camp atterbury indiana. i was in his unit E 293rd LAT out of frankfort Indiana. He was a really good soldier and a loss to many i really didnt get to know him very well but in the two weeks that i worked woth him he was always smiling. That is what i remembered and the picture of him that flashed through my head.. so here is my heart felt condolences to his friends and family. I'm sorry for your loss..
