Army 1st Lt. Demetrius M. Frison died May 10 in Khost province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.

Dang battle...this is crazy. You were a good man and a great soldier. I remember talking about OCS with you before leaving Basic. I was presented with the opportunity to go through OCS and I am almost done with it now. I see that you went through it and I am sure you excelled. I still remember you lifting Patton up with one arm. The bay went silent when we saw that lol. I am saddened to learn of what happened. It has caused me to be more motivated to apply myself in and during all my future training. I pray God's peace and comfort upon your family. I pray your son grows up to be as great a man as his father was.

I am the woman who gave your wife, friend and baby water at the end of the Memorial Day Service at Washington Crossing (least I could do). I read about Demetrius on the internet and want you to know that his sacrifice is greatly appreciated. I am so sorry for your loss; you are in my thoughts and prayers.
