Army Sgt. Edmond L. Randle was killed while conducting a surveillance sweep for improvised explosive devices Jan. 17, when his Bradley Fighting Vehicle struck such a device and overturned north of Taji, Iraq.

I served with this man, and have nothing but the utmost admirationand respect for him. He was a true gentlemen, and very much my friend. I only hope he is remembered as the great person he set out to be, and became. I do miss him.
