Ed was the oldest of seven kids in a tight-knit family. He leaves behind a loving wife, two kids and devasted parents and in-laws. It is still so unbelievably painful for all of us. His death has left an incomprehensible void in our lives, yet we know that some day we will be able to think of him without so much pain and cherish the wonder and beauty he brought to all who knew him.

To my husband, Ed, your friends are confirming your love for me. You are a true hero, though unrecognized. I wish I had only told you I love you on that horrible day. My confidence in the fact you would be taken care of was wrong. I wish you hadn't had the dedication and love for those buildings that you did. Everyone misses you deeply. You were the big man with the bigger heart.
