A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Staff Sgt. Eric J. Lindstrom died July 12 near Barge Matal, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his dismounted patrol using small arms and indirect fire.

While I never knew Eric, I know his sacrifice will not be in vain. Those who die while trying to defend others are surely blessed by the Lord for their sacrifice. My condolences to his family, and my prayers for their lost love one. God Bless them all.

eric was a leader second to none and will live on in the soldiers he touched along the way. With the discipline , knowledge, hard work, and love he gave and instilled in the soldiers that to him were brothers. God bless and thank you

Though we may have lost a Hero, through reflection we may not be able to fully understand exactly why God makes the choices he makes but I will celebrate him, and his life, for if it not for SSG Lindstrom, and his selfless dedication to duty our freedom would be at risk.
