A group of students at the High School in my town have made arm bands for everyone in our community to wear in the days leading up to an on the tenth anniversary of 9-11. Each arm band has the name of a victim of 9-11, and they have made a bracelet for every victim lost on that dreadful day. My arm band bears the name James Thomas Murphy. It serves as a daily reminder to pray for all the victims of 9-11 and their families and I say a special prayer now fo the friends, family and coworkers of James Thomas Murphy. I ask for God to give them strength, help them to heal, and for an understanding of his will for our lives. On 9-11-11, and every day there after let us not forget James Thomas Murphy and all of the other victims, their loved ones, and our Armed Forces who are doing their best every day to keep us free and safe from more attacks.

When Chrissy and Sean got married, our family married the Murphy Clan and were the better for it. Jimmy was always at the center of some funny story or joke at family gatherings. That's how I'll always remember him.

Murph was a really good guy -- liked by all when we were in St. Rose together. We were co-captains on the varsity baseball team. Our team stunk but we all had fun and Murph was one of the reasons we have good memories. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
