Army Spc. Jeremy L. Brown died May 9 at Contingency Outpost Zerok, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire

It still hurts even though its been a little bit of time now and you'd think i had just a bit of time to let it all sink in and register that you are gone. I love you with all my heart and I miss you like a fat kid misses cake, I can't even begin to imagine what a yr from now will look like but I do know that it wont be any easier but I can tell you I will always have you in my heart and you'll always be my superman. I will miss you till the day that god allows me to join you again and be happy just like the good ol days when we were in school and doing silly things together. Thank you so much for being our Hero..You will truely be missed. Your family is in our prayers,And although they hurt from your loss, They truely have a Hero in their family. The streets were lined with people yesterday, so many tears, people lined up holding their flags and saluting you. R.I.P Jeremy
