Marine Maj. John C. Spahr was killed May 2 when the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft he was piloting crashed in Iraq while flying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I enjoyed your visit with you and your buddies in Lake Tahoe. You are everyone's Hero, but you were too humble to accept this.
