A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Staff Sgt. John G. Doles was killed Sep. 30 during patrol operations when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire in Shah Wali, Afghanistan.

John was my first team leader as a Geronimo, he is a great man. He may of been asked to give his life but you couldn't count the ones he has saved by passing on the skills he knew, I am sure that he made my tour alot easier by what he taught me not only as a soldier but also as a man. He will be missed and forever be a Geronimo. SGT Joshua Marcantel
