A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Cpl. Jonathan M. Walls died Aug. 1 in Mushan village, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his patrol with improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades. Also killed were Army Pfc. Richard K. Jones and Army Pvt. Patrick S. Fitzgibbon.

Cpl. Walls you will be greatly missed. I have great memories of being in Afghanistan with you. That day was the first and only day I chose to go with a different company. I regret not being right there with you guys. RIP Brother

I miss you everyday that goes by Jonathan. I see so much of you in our 3 beautiful kids. And there isn't a moment that goes by that I don't wonder if you are watching everything the kids are doing. You were and will always be the love of my life. I always thought that we would be married a lifetime... And even now, I consider myself married, you are forever in my heart. Nobody can ever take that away from me. I love you always baby!

I was Jonathan's commander in both companies at FT Lewis and I was a great fan of his. He was a great Soldier and a better person. I just learned of his passing and wanted to pass along my sympathies. You raised a great man. if you would like to write my e-mail is will.Starr@us.army.mil.

I didn't know this sweet man but he knew my husband,my husband says he was a great man an a very kinda friend he speaks (i would say spoke but he still talk about all 3 of the guys they were all really good friends of his) very highly of him an he misses them very much.my he rest in peace an forever in gods graces..Thank you Jonathan ...
