Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 2nd Class Kevin R. Bewley died Nov. 5 of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was conducting operations in Salahaddin province, Iraq.

Kevin will be missed by all who knew him. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. The family will be in our prayers always!!

Kevin will always be loved and missed deeply by his family and friends. It is important to know that Kevin was killed by an RPG after successfully disarming 2 IEDs. The group had gotten back in the truck and was looking for a third IED when the vehicle was hit by an RPG which entered the vehicle and went across Kevin's neck.
Kevin was a true Hero for all of us.
