Army Staff Sgt. Kristofferson B. Lorenzo died May 23, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Pfc. William S. Blevins, Pvt. Andrew M. Krippner and Pvt. Thomas C. Allers.
