A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Staff Sgt. Kurt R. Curtiss died Aug. 26 in Paktika province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was shot while his unit was supporting Afghan security forces during an enemy attack.

thank you, Staff sgt Curtiss for your sacrifice. My husband came home for R&R and the one thing he left in my care when he returned to Afghanistan was his memorial bracelet for Curtiss for safe keeping. I've seen several of the men that served alongside him that wear their bracelets for Curtiss still even though they have become scratched and faded. He and 4th platoon were deeply affected by the loss of their comrad. He will never be forgotten by any of us that knew him or have heard about him from his fellow soldiers.
