Army Spc. Lauro G. DeLeon Jr. was killed Sept. 8 when improvised explosive devices detonated near his convoy in Balad, Iraq.

Lauro was a great friend and a model soldier. He died for something he believed in and that was fighting for this country. We miss you and may God continue to be with your family. I will see you again someday my friend.

I think of my friend Deleon probably every time I think of being in Iraq, which is as you can imagine every single day. I will see him again in Heaven. I miss you Deleon.
