Thank you, Lea, for your courage and your sacrifice. I am so sorry we have lost you to this war. May God comfort your loved ones in the fact that you completed your mission here and are now free to soar through the cosmos. May you rest in peace.

I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain;

I am the gentle Autumns rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush.

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there;

I did not die

Thank you for giving your life for me. Although fearfully, I believe in what we are doing. My son just joined the army and will be stationed in Iraq this january. God Bless all our soldiers. Rest in peace.

O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on Your departed veteran who gave his life in the service of his country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of Your Son he may share in the joy of Your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in You with Your saints forever.

I ask this through Christ our Lord.

My sincere heartfelt condolences to Lea's family.
