Army Spc. Mathew P. LaForest died May 25 in Taji, Iraq, of injuries sustained when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using small-arms fire during combat operations.

For some reason out of the blue I thought of you today. I miss you bud. The neighborhood looks the same witht the exception of our paintball field (which is now an HEB). Thank you for your sacrifice, even if I would rather have you back in Austin. Heaven gained a hero and we lost an angel, or is it the other way around. I think you get my point ;).

So sorry to here of Matthew, he must have been one hell of a soldier and even a better son. Never knew him but I am sure we were related in some manner, my thoughts prayers and best wishes go out to the whole family.
