Your sacrifice will remain in our hearts for a lifetime,
with intense gratitude. May God bless you and your family.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms.

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heros never dies.

Michael yet another brother in arms and an EOD team member who gave your life for the prospect of peace. Another team member was my son-in-law who was killed by a road side bomb 20 June 2007 in alAnbar province. Though you are gone, I remember all of you each and every day. Look out for the EOD's still there.
Mother-in-law of Sgt. Shawn P. Martin, USMC

My heart goes out to you and your family. When I recently heard of Michael's passing I was heartbroken. My son Rhett Smith served with Michael and was a friend. My other son, Rhyder, also was a friend. I just wanted you to know that we think of you often and pray for your family. I met Michael once and remember my sons speaking fondly of him. He will never be forgotten. I hope somehow knowing that there are others in this world who will not forget him and will pray for you will help ease your pain a little more. God Bless you all. Vickie Smith, Mother of two proud Marines who were blessed to have known your son.
