You are a true hero. I served back in 2007 . FOB Wilderness. Not far from Khost . I head back in a few months. You are not forgotten

Dear Sheyanne (mom of Mikayla) and Dad and Stepmom. My heart goes out to you all. I am Julie Walker, Aunt of Melissa, cousin of Mikayla. I have met Sheyanne, and Melissa's sister is named for Sheyanne, Mikayla's mom.
You are in our hearts and prayers here in Portland, and by the rest of my family in Arizona and California. I work with someone whose daughter is stationed at the same base in Kentucky as Mikayla and she attended the memorial service there on Dec 29.
God Bless You, Mikayla, for your bravery. I have only met your mom, but will never forget you.
Love to you safe in God's hands. Julie Walker & Family

To the Bragg Family, my heart and prayers go out to you. Having a daughter that is 21 years old-I cannot begin to imagine the depths of your pain. I only want you to know that I truly am grateful to you and your daughter and I will do my best at expressing that gratitude as long as I shall live.
May God be with you and embrace you with his love.

I did not know her but have served wtih so many that have given so much. I feel that we are trying to make our country and others have more liberty. Let us continue the fight with the right attitude of selfless sacrifice as SPC Bragg did for the right reasons to remember her as she would have wanted.
