Army 1st Lt. Nainoa K. Hoe died Jan. 22 in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds received when he was attacked by enemy forces using small-arms fire.

You were my first online friend. You made me laugh and you were a comforter in my times of dispair. I have only learned of your death since yesterday. I am soooo sorry that we lost contact. I still can see your beautiful smile and the glow that surrounded you as you spoke of Emily. You will always remain in my heart.
