Army Sgt. Patrick O. Williamson died Oct. 27 in Arghandab Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an IED. Also killed were Sgt. Fernando Delarosa, Staff Sgt. Luis M. Gonzalez, Sgt. Dale R. Griffin, Sgt. Issac B. Jackson, Spc. Jared D. Stanker and Pfc. Christopher I. Walz.

Patrick, Your family is in my prayers. I know you are watching over them and Sidney as well. I am posting your photo in my classroom right next to the American Flag and will think of you every morning in homeroom while saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Thank you, Patrick. You have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Patrick, you were always the greatest kid to be around , you were a pleasure to coach in football and had the heart of a Lion. You are a TRUE American hero. We as a nation will never forget the ultimate sacrafice that you have made to protect our Freedom. You are the definition of Honor and Sacrafice. I will never forget you.
