Army Pvt. Patrick S. Fitzgibbon died Aug. 1 in Mushan village, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his patrol with improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades. Also killed were Army Cpl. Jonathan M. Walls and Army Pfc. Richard K. Jones.

I didn't know this sweet man but he knew my husband,my husband says he was a great man an a very kinda friend he speaks (i would say spoke but he still talk about all 3 of the guys they were all really good friends of his) very highly of him an he misses them very much.my he rest in peace an forever in gods graces..Thank you Patrick... my thoughts an prayers are with his family from Sgt.Nystrom's Wife
