Richard G. Cliff Jr of Mount Pleasant, S.C. is remembered in the Liberty Unites archive.
A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Capt. Richard G. Cliff Jr. died Sept. 29 in Yakhchal, Afghanistan, from wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device during mounted operations. Also killed were Sgt. 1st Class Jamie S. Nicholas and Sgt. 1st Class Gary J. Vasquez.

I shall condole your wife Tracy, your three children and your parents, I worked very closely to cliff in the same LAV STRYKER, and we all liked him very much he was a unique person.
