Army Spc. Robert J. Tauteris Jr. died Jan. 6 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Jonathan M. Metzger, Spc. Christopher A. Patterson and Spc. Brian J. Leonhardt.
