Army Pfc. Ryan M. McCauley was killed Sept. 5 when his patrol came under attack by small-arms fire in Baghdad.

I was best friends with Ryan in Korea. I had talked to him a number of times not to go to fort hood, but to go to Iraq with us, his family. But he wanted to go home and be close to his family. I think about him quite a bit. I hope his family knows that his friends still think about him and the price he payed. God Bless and take care
