A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army Pfc. Sergio S. Abad died of wounds sustained when his outpost was attacked by small-arms fire and rocket propelled grenades from enemy forces in Wanat, Afghanistan, on July 13. Also killed were 1st Lt. Jonathan P. Brostrom, Sgt. Israel Garcia, Cpl. Jonathan R. Ayers, Cpl. Jason D. Hovater, Cpl. Jason M. Bogar, Cpl. Matthew B. Phillips, Cpl. Pruitt A. Rainey and Cpl. Gunnar W. Zwilling.

I KNOW Sergio!!!! i spend 2 years in JROTC with not only him with his girl , alex parra . tati . virginia , ammed , sici , one of the pitts sisters . and much more . to all of you iam very soorry for your friend lost , i know that wasnt only a friend thatit was a family member to all of you .
but one thing i will let you know i will alwayz remember sergio as a great dancer , especially in salsa . ah ah ah ah he was and will always be a great person and a hero to all of us and not only to us but to those who only knew him by face . Mita you dont know how i put my self in your position mami just know we are all here with you in your pain . iam pragnant , my pregnancy hasnt been very calm and nice like it soppost to be my husband his in jail and you know how much i wish he is not sentence for 10 to 20 years in prison. iam praying a lot for that not to happen . but sadly this life is unfair ................. SERGIO WHERE EVER YOU AT THAT I KNOW IS A BEUTIFULL PLACE CUS THAT ALL YOU DISERVE TELL MY GRANDMOTHER THAT I LOVE HER AND I PROMISE THAT NO MATTER WHERE IAM I WILL ALWAYS BUT YOUR BEATIFULL QUEEN MITA AND YOUR PRICESSES IN MY PRAYERS TO BE PROTECTED AND HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT ........ i wish to express my deepest regret for your losses..my name is andrew victory and attended basic training with abad,he was bright and full of enery. he was well known in basic for messing with our drill sgt's.
i would attend the funural but regretably im being deployed again in 2 days,so just know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you and may God shower his mercy and love on you.

duh duh duh!!! I miss you Sergio, and I'm so proud of you. It breaks my heart to know that you're gone but I find peace knowing that your life ended doing something that you loved. You changed so much when you went into the Army and in such a good way. I am always amazed at all your accomplishments especially coming from a past like yours. You will always be remembered and loved. I can't wait until your party. I'll make sure you have a drink for you. Sorry that we never got a chance to go back to Cheeseburger in Paradise for that drink. I love you a lot and miss you tons. xoxoxo

I had the honor of knowing Sergio personally and even though we lost contact he was always a true brother through and through. He was always there when you needed a laugh and always there when you needed someone to watch your back no matter what the situation was. I will always remember all the crazy times we had together. The family misses you but knows we will be reunited again one day. For now theres a stooge watchin over myself, manny and the rest of us.

Sergio,
We never met but I know your girlfriend's family. May you rest in peace and always remember that even a complete stranger thinks of you highly. Granted we never met but I hear so many stories on how you were a great person with a huge heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice and fighting for our freedom. Watch over us and most importantly your daughter. To the family of Sergio stay strong and always remember your loved one with a smile on your face.
