It was an honor, and a privilege, to serve with SFC Summers. He was one fine soldier, a field soldier. My privilege was to be his first Army commander when he enlisted in the IANG's 194th Infantry Detachment (Long Range Surveillance)(Airborne). Though a challenge in garrison, he was his best when in the field. In the "legion of my boys" Sev will be missed by all. Airborne.

My husband and Sev were good friends from the days of Christian Life. The last time we saw Sev was a couple of years ago. He told my husband that he was gonna get Osama BenLaudin. Knowing Sev, we knew that he was going to give this commitment his all and he did. We are very proud to have known Sev. He is now and will always be our American Hero. Thank you Sev for fighting for us. He gave his life so that we could live ours and have great pride in our country.

Sev was one of my biggest heros growing up and still is. He was the most couragous, outgoing, and happy person I knew. You will be selfishly missed by my family and I. I love you much bud and can't wait to see that huge smile again!

I knew Sev back in the 90's when he was still doing some training. You would not meet a better man in your life. He popped back into my mind recently and I was wondering what ever became of him and as I should have known, he was doing what he loved; he loved adventure, action, familly and using his God given talents. I always admired him and will forever be in his debt. We should all be so brave. His personality was a fricken magnet. The only problem I had with him was keeping up...never could.
Take care and thank you to my friend Sev and all of you service men. We always regret telling you how much you mean to us till its too late
