I knew SSG Booker as SGT Booker in Schweinfurt, Germany where I had the honor of being his company commander 1992-1993. SGT Booker's thoughts were always worthy of consideration. I remember reading his mind when he was assigned as the gunner to one of my platoon leaders. He was not happy but acceptpetd it professionally and took it good naturedly. At the next Tank Table VIII, crew qualification, the two of them scored a perfect 1000 pounts... a formidable task. Everyone knows the gunner does the lion's share of the work. SGT Booker was pleased with the accomplishment but never boasted nor bragged. He was a fine NCO and person. I will cherish my memories of him forever. Glasgow
