Army Spc. Todd A. Motley died Sept. 14 in Baghdad, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle during combat operations. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Michael L. Townes, Spc. Jonathan Rivadeneira and Pvt. Christopher M. McCloud.

My deepest condolences to Todd's family. I am his aunt by marriage, and though I have spoken to him over the phone I never had the supreme honor of meeting this exceptional young man f2f. May God be with his family, friends, and fellow service members.
