Beamer was one of the passengers on United Flight 93 who, it is believed, rushed the cockpit in an effort to take control of the plane. His wife Lisa gave birth to the couple's third child, daughter Morgan Kay Beamer, in January 2002.

May God bless this brave person and may God watch over his family. I was in the White House

with my husband and 2-year-old daughter and evacuated on September 11. Thank you for saving my life and

the lives of my family.

Lisa, just wanted to let you know I've been praying for you so much this fall. I know Ryan

Roush, who knows you all. I'm in the CMA too. We love you sister.

Let us never forget his courage and leadership. Not only did he save lives but also he

prevented the destruction of the White House and possibly the Capitol. He inspired others to rise up and

give their lives in the defense of freedom, showing the terrorists that we will not be defeated.

What a great influence Todd has been to me and to the children in the United States. He has

reminded us all how to stand up for what we feel is right and just.

We have been asked in school recently to write about our heroes and role models. And ever

since September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer has always been on that list for me. I will never forget his famous

words, "Are you ready? OK, Let's roll!" It is burned in my heart, and even though I never knew the man, I

know he is up there with God. On September 11 he "slipped the surly bonds of earth" and "touched the face

of God."

He acted courageously in times of unimaginable horror and should be recognized as a true American hero along with the others who acted with him to fight the terrorists. My heart goes out to Lisa and their children and I wish them strength and fortitude as they go through this terrible time. I don't know how Todd found the strength to act as he did, but it is truly amazing, and if there is a God, then surely Todd is with him in a heavenly place and will await Lisa until her time comes when they will be reunited.
I want to offer my thanks to Todd for his bravery along with all those others on the plane who sacrificed themselves to save the lives of many innocent people on the ground who would surely have perished if another attack had succeeded. My thoughts are with everyone who went through this terrible tragedy and I have confidence we will overcome this.

Recently, we had the good fortune of getting a little Shih-Tuz puppy that was born on 9/11/01. After hearing so many wonderful things about Todd Beamer, we decided to name our puppy "Beamer" in remembrance of Todd Beamer. Whenever we take him outside our command is, "Let's roll." Thanks, Todd, for being a role model for all of us.
