A LIFE REMEMBERED
Army 1st Lt. Tyler E. Parten died Sept. 10 in Konar province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire.

I worked with 1LT Parten during the months of July and August this year on the Pakistan border. I am still in afghanistan and although he was not in my unit when I heard the news I was shocked. He was TRULY and exceptional officer and man. RIP
