Army Sgt. Tyler J. Kritz died June 3 in Thania, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Greg P. Gagarin, Sgt. James C. Akin and Sgt. Robert A. Surber.
