To the friends and family of Pfc. William Z. Vanosdol:
My deepest sympothies during your time of loss. My son is stationed at FOB Echo with Bravo Company, 1st Batt., 2nd Inf. Reg., 172nd Inf. Brigade and I just received an e-mail from him yesterday informing me of the loss of their fellow soldier. As a parent of a son in harms way, you should know that I am proud of all the young men and women serving there and can only hope that others appreciate the sacrifice that you have made. Be proud that your son was willing to fight for a cause greater than himself in helping to secure peace and freedom for his fellow mankind.
