Army Cpl. Willie A. McLawhorn Jr. died Dec. 12 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Cpl. Sean M. Collins, Spc. Patrick D. Deans, Kenneth E. Necochea Jr., Spc. Derek T. Simonetta and Spc. Jorge E. Villacis.
